Fitbit question

If I am wearing my Fitbit while exercising on my elliptical , do I get credit for it or do I need to add in MFP as added cardio exercise. In other words, I don't want to double dip and was wondering if I am already credited with the exercise just by wearing the Fitbit while doing it?

If they are synced, fitbit will send over all the calories you have burned, including any exercises you've entered in fitbit. There is no need to enter it in MFP as well, since fitbit will include it. The only thing is, since it isn't step based, you might want to enter it as exercise if fitbit doesn't pick up all the steps. Just make sure the time is right, and you won't get twice the credit or anything. I personally add all exercise to fitbit, and then it sends that information to MFP. Works for me. =D0

It depends a lot on which Fitbit you have. Some detect heart rate and can figure out what you're doing. Others only count arm swings and need you to provide info manually.0
