Injured Knee :(

Almost three years ago, I was in a car accident as a passenger. An ambulette [think huge van that's meant to transport disabled people to dr's appointment] ran a red light and was speeding, and hit my side of the car. I had a comminuted knee fracture up and down the right side of my left knee plus lots of soft tissue damage, slight bleeding in the joint, and bone bruising.

Saw an orthopedist for four months before no fault cut me off and did rehab that entire time. My knee has been hurting on and off since but all of a sudden the pain is sooooo bad. It hurts to bend or straighten it, the more I use the more it hurts, so I've been staying off it as much as a full time STAHM of a toddler can. NSAIDs aren't working. Tried prescription and non-presciption NSAIDs to no relief.

I'm seeing the original orthopedist on Thursday and I'm pretty sure he'll do an x-ray and/or MRI but I'm pretty bummed.

My knee hurts on both sides and tender on the outside of both sides, too. I just hope it's not torn or re-fractured or something bad.
