Do you have it set to show stones and pounds? If so, change it to show your weight in pounds and see if it will allow you to enter tenths of a pound after you change that setting.

You must change your weight unit settings to pounds only, and then enter weights in tenths of pounds. MFP will not allow tenths of pounds if you use stones/pounds as your weight unit setting.

Please see this article, and search for other helpful articles, on the MFP Help pages...

You can enter half pound measurements. Your display only allows for full pounds when using stones/pounds as units. You have to enter your half pounds as a decimal: ex: 10 stone 4.5 pounds. You can even use 1/10ths of a pound ex: 10 stone 4.1 pounds.

If you want to see the fractional portion of a pound displayed, you need to switch from stones/pounds to pounds.

You probably just need to update the app in "Google Play Store". Then restart your phone.

I don't want to change to pounds only ... where do I enter it like you said ? 10 stone 4.5 pounds?

You can enter fraction of pounds on the Web version even if you keep your stone/pounds setting by navigating to MY HOME > Check-In (note that you can use your mobile device's web browser and request to load the desktop version of www.myfitnesspal.com in that browser). Although the fractional pound entry will be saved and used in calculations, the program will round that number and display pounds to the nearest integer in many parts of the program. Even if you change your units setting to pounds, the program rounds those numbers to the nearest integer for display purposes in many parts of the program.
