I'm 20yrs old now, 5'8" 130lbs and I am by no means overweight but I want to be more toned and get rid of my cellulite. Anyone have advice for someone just starting out ( at least this time around) in lower body exercise ? Specific exercises, things to avoid, a program? Thanks

Cellulite will even out if you're overweight and get down into a healthy weight range but it doesn't really go away. You're already at a healthy weight. If you want to improve your physique, especially lower body, just look up Strong Curves and do that program. Bret Contreras is the Glute Guy.

Cellulite is genetic. People can keep it down by staying within a normal weight for their frame, but even then there may be some. There are no creams, wraps, topicals, massages, brushes, etc. that affect it permanently since we're talking CELLS below the epidermis and all of these just affect the epidermis.

Losing weight and resistance training means mine is greatly improved from when I was 30lbs heavier and sedentary, but it's still there. I started out with bodyweight versions of squats and lunges, and now do them with weights as well as deadlifts, single leg press, hip thrusts, various things like donkey kicks and fire hydrants, whatever I fancy, but you need to train consistently and be patient.

I'm less bothered by cellulite now I'm fitter and have a more positive view of my body in general, so its presence doesn't bother me anymore. It's genetic, and more people have at least a little of it than don't, so I wouldn't beat yourself up over it.

Lifting weights won't do any harm and might improve it. And if it doesn't who cares, you'll be strong and able to kick the *kitten* of anyone rude enough to make fun of any remaining cellulite.
