    They will not affect your weight loss if you have them in moderation one with an otherwise balanced diet within your calorie goals.

    That said, I like to save my calories for good beer! I'd take one good 200-calorie IPA over 3 Coors Lights any day. :lol:

    This. I get a better from buzz full flavored beer than a light beer. I just had a Sierra Nevada Hop Hunter 186 calories. Drinking one as we speak. ahhh

    I'd say it depends what your goals are, and what percentage of your calories you're spending on alcohol. It replaces healthier foods in your calorie budget that contain nutrients that keep your body performing well even in a calorie deficit. Alcohol interferes with metabolizing fat in the liver, and lowers blood leptin levels, which are already low if you're restricting calories.

    Alcohol works against fat loss more than most other types of calories you could be consuming. Personally, I try to limit drinking to two or three drinks at social events, two nights a week, while I'm trying to lose fat.
