Treadmill Runners

As a newbie to exercise, I started running on the treadmill a few months ago. I created some routines for myself and I've made some great progress but I want to be challenged more and need help doing that. I was wondering if anyone uses apps (or anything else) that have voice coaches. I would love to have someone telling me what the routine will be as I am running. Or if you have any other ideas I'm open to suggestions. Thanks!

if you're a bit of a nerd, you could always try the Zombies, run! app. It's meant to be fun and gives you the varied workouts. You can have it work like a c25k app or create custom runs.0

You could try the app called The Road. Its outside and works much better than a treadmill...-1

PopSugar has a lot of great interval running things for treadmills that I used.
Also you can create and write down your own intervals so you can push yourself that way.0 -

Ha- while this is funny, it might not be useful to every one. I can only run at 4 am and living in a rural area surrounded by coyotes, I'm not going to do it outside. Sometimes it's treadmill or die.0 -

I liked this one! But I recommend Pinterest as well, I have seen a few routines floating around. Good luck!0 -

hahaha! Please stay on your treadmill!!
I'm doing C25k on my treadmill now. It sounds like you are past that OP but they have a 10K version and whatnot too. I find they make it interesting. But that may be because its still challenging for me. Its the Zen labs apps that I'm talking about though....0 -
I saw the title to this thread and HAD to post. For the past two years I've been a loyal treadmill runner. Increasing my running speed from 4MPH (for 10-15 minutes) to 8MPH (for 20-minutes). I was constantly told and lectured by my podiatrist (I have terrible feet problems) about how even for people with good feet, the treadmill is absolutely horrific for bones, joints and tendons within your feet. I ignored this. Two weeks ago I was running for 4-minutes ONLY and POP - tore the tendon in the sole of my "good" foot. BE CAUTIOUS. The way your feet pound on the treadmill is not the same as running outside. It puts way more pressure and stress on all parts of your feet. I will NEVER run on a treadmill again and will advise everyone else to avoid it also.0
