Hi all!

I've been struggling with bulimia for about six years now with my weight yoyo-ing quite a bit. Currently I'm in my target range when it comes to weight, but years of being bulimic has really ruined my body, so I'm a long way from healthy despite looking "normal". I've actually come to MFP twice before, but I've always deleted and returned to my old ways. Hoping to find people who can support me while also holding me accountable. Hope to get to know some of you and I'm open to all who are understanding!

This is a difficult issue to overcome, I used bulimia as a control mechanism throughout college and needed Lots of help letting go of it! I will tell you that now I'm 46 and trying to lose weight that I think about it (not fondly, more as punishment) and have some food phobias too. For me, mapping out my daily intake at the beginning of the day is allowing me a bigger picture and relieves much of the anxiety that I find that had triggered my binging episodes. I have promised myself to never eat anywhere that has a drive-thru to eliminate opportunity. If you don't already have an therapist/coach that specializes in eating disorders, find one you trust and it will change your life!
