I've been 'trying' to lose weight for a few years now, making the mistake (as it turns out) of thinking that because I was in the gym for 1-2 hrs per day I could eat what I liked . Cue big fat zero weight loss

On 9 Jan 2016 I had my first ever personal training session- and he overhauled my food intake and gave me some simpler workouts to do.

10 weeks later I have reached my first target of weighing 75kg and having 19% body fat. I'm so chuffed!! Next target is get to 70kgs and 17% body fat by mid-june .

Can't share this with anyone in real life as all they say is 'why? You don't need to lose weight' or ' why are you putting yourself through that? You're fine as you are' Or ' you're as bad as those people who fat shame - you have body image problems '

Ok I know I'm not excessively overweight for my height (5'9") but I feel so much better - been through two menstrual cycles with no cravings or mood swings or horrendous cramps!

Why can't my family and 'friends' just say 'that's fantastic well done you' ??!! I'm at the point where I just don't discuss anything about fitness or food with them!!
