hitting a plateau

So I've been on my weightloss journey going on three months now and I've lost 42 lbs, yea! So my question is, when do you hit a plateau? I've never tried to lose weight over more than a couple months so I don't know when normally you would hit that. I've consistently lost weight every week from 1 to 6 lbs. My goal is 75 lbs and would be great if I could hit that without changing anything. Guess i'm just curious from those who have worked hard at this for longer. Thanks!

If your tracking of intake and outtake is spot on you should never hit a plateau. Plateaus are usually caused by sloppy logging.

Sometimes you got to change things up to find the culprit to your stalling. Anything you've recently added to your diet? Very recent cheat days? Etc, You could also check out "IF" Intermittent Fasting as a tool to implement right now it's a effective weight stalling breaker. All the best!

Not everyone hits a plateau. For those of us who have had plateaus, there is no way to identify when it will start or when it will end. If/when you hit a plateau, make sure that you are logging everything with intense accuracy and that your calorie goals have adjusted with weight loss. If you want to cut calories for a few weeks to see if there are any changes, then do that. If eating less doesn't help, then be patient. If you really want to confirm a plateau, then try eating more for a few weeks and see if you gain. If not, then it is definitely a plateau. Be patient and wait for the whoosh (the end of a plateau when you lose all of the weight you should have lost in a few days time instead of over the preceeding months).
