Calories burned?

I have recently started doing cardio on an elliptical machine. The "calories burned" is different on the machine I use, myfitnesspal, and different websites I've looked on and calculated. I punch in my weight to each one, and still different numbers. Does anyone know what's the most accurate?!

Nothing is 100% accurate. I go mainly by my heart rate monitor because it has all my stats keyed in (height, weight, age) If it's different from MFP I either split the difference or use the lower number.1

I personally always thought elliptical calorie burn was overestimated. I've seen others write that those calories are higher than what MFP says. You can try finding an online calculator that allows you to input more details for height, gender, weight....1

I am finding the exercise bike and the elliptical machines calculate I have burned LESS calories than MFP and UA Record apps. So I go with the machines to be on the safe side so I don't eat more calories than I should be.1
