Sweating issues

So, I know that the bodies natural way to cool itself is to sweat. But .. In my case... I don't sweat. No matter how hot it is, or how much physical activity I am doing, my body can not sweat. I am kind of wondering if it is a reason why I'm unable to lose a lot of weight?
This issue is so bad for me, that I get extreme heat exhaustion and it holds me back from doing the things I love.

Have asked your doctor? Extreme heat exhaustion is dangerous.

Are you dehydrated? Honestly idk if that would make a difference but it's possible?
Sidenote: I once read a Goosebumps book about a kid who couldn't sweat so he took hormone shots to fix it, and it turns out he was really a dog that had been mutated to be human.

Anhidrosis is a condition in horses where they are unable to sweat. I'm not sure if it affects humans or not. Definitely talk to your doctor.

Sweating or not sweating has absolutely nothing to do with losing weight.

I drink a ton of water! 8+ cups a day every day.
Doctors never know what to tell me on the situation. And the goosebumps thing is funny. Hah I'd love to find out I was a dog ! (Just kidding but yeah)

this ^, and sweating is used to cool the body through evaporation, so you can just simulate sweat when you feel hot by misting yourself with a mister. or have wet towels nearby to keep your skin wet. but yeah see a doctor or google it and see what it is.

    It's a real medical condition.

Doubt it has anything to do with weight loss. If anything I'd say it'd probably help since your body can't sweat to drop body temp. Higher body temp technically would give you a slight boost to your metabolism. There are weight-loss drugs that cause a similar effect in fact. So basically, not only no, but it's probably having the opposite effect if anything.

I have the same problem. I don't sweat. I have been going to through menopause and I don't get hot flashes. I am cold all the time.
