Thinking about my so-called fast weight loss

I've most recently been working on that very point. On the fat side, I've been adding cheese to a meal for the past week. Last week it was a high-sodium variety which pushed my beloved hot pickle out of the plan. This week and for the next number of weeks the cheese will be a Ricotta which I'll add to my breakfast burrito 20 g each day. That appears to have a lower sodium content than most cheeses and I can have my hot pickle and still keep the sodium below 1500. I supplement with a slew of vitamins, including Potassium, but I'm always willing to find new food sources of potassium. The concern about a restricted plan is that a person does not get enough fat or enough vits and minerals.

Keep monitoring things. I like to use a weight trend graph to see my trends. Every 3 weeks, I evaluate and adjust my calorie levels up or down as needed.
Personally, I found that dieting is "easy" when I eat a reasonable amount of calories. I started off with a higher deficit and while I was losing quickly, I felt deprived and frustrated a lot of the time. finally, a few too many people pointed out that I looked pale and tired. DH commented that I wasn't able to concentrate or focus like normal and that I was getting snippy and easily overwhelmed. I upped my calorie level a little and have been fine since.
Glad you started weighing your food. It's such an eye-opener! For me, it helped me to eat more.0
