My Journey

I was obese as a child. I lost a lot of weight while in High School, and fell in love with weight training. I joined the Coast Guard after 9/11, and served until 2005. In 2008, I started having severe back pain. The diagnosis, spinal arthritis. It really got me down, and I gave up a lot of things I loved to do. Finally, I started getting real help last year. I started going back to the gym last September. I won a free session with a personal trainer. It was what I needed. I signed up, and it has been a very positive experience. I got my love back for weight training. I'm getting back to where I want to be. I have not felt like this since I served.
