Getting Back To the Gym! Help!

                    Hey MFPers!
So, I am getting myself back into the gym, officially signed up with Planet Fitness today! I'm excited!
The past year I've been doing home workout's because of my crazy schedule but I think I need to get back into the gym in order to change up my workout patterns.
I've been doing Yoga and Jillian Micheal's 30 Day Shred and I'm finishing up the C25K program this week.
Basically, I want to know what cardio machines I should be using at the gym? In my first year on MFP I used the Elliptical a lot and loved it. I also want to do some weight training because I feel like I've lost weight but I haven't gained enough muscle. So, what weight machines should I use and how do you log weight training on your exercises??
