Sweets are my Kryptonite

Hey everyone...

Got a guilty conscious and need to clear the air.

So, I have been struggling pretty bad these last 2 days with cravings, and today I slipped alittle and instead of eating a healthy breakfast... I had half of a Kirkland (Costco) blueberry muffin, which for those of you who don't know have like 650 calories and is loaded with sugar (thankfully I only ate half!).

Normally I do good with my oatmeal or yogurt or what not but with all these sweets in my house, that the spouse keeps buying (easter candy, homemade sugar cookies decorated like easter eggs, chocolate muffins, blueberry muffins, key lime pie, oreos, ice cream, etc.) I'm finding my will power is being tested to the limits today.

Now, most days I shrug it off and focus on how eating healthy/clean makes me FEEL good!! But today got the best of me. And, after indulging on that muffin... I have to say, I'm having some serious guilty feelings about it... (sigh).

Damn that man of mine for testing my strength and damn those big, fluffy, moist, rich, sweet muffins for looking so damn good this morning.

The battle may be lost today but not the war.

(BTW no, the significant other is not on a healthy lifestyle/weight loss journey, like myself, and supports eating better but refuses to eat as clean as me... and apparently Easter is a test for those with a sweet tooth).

Wooo, glad that's off my chest. Nose back to the grind stone! Best of luck to everyone!

Feel free to post your kryptonite or a slip if you want. Thanks for letting me vent!

Sweets are the same for me, esp during TOM. We all slip from time to time. Thats why I try to build in cheats for me so I can fit in rewards. If you're feeling really guilty take a walk, or try extra hard to finish the day with a healthier meal plan. God knows I've been weak in the past, I've totally been there, one muffin won't ruin you.
