I consider myself a sweets addict. I'm getting better, but I rarely find alternatives that satisfy my sweet tooth. What's your favorite alternative to sweets that does the trick? Feel free to post recipes, too!

Dates satisfy my sweet tooth, because they are a super sweet fruit. Eat a couple, and your sweet tooth will be satisfied.0

I like dried apricots or I have soy yoghurts that are dark chocolate which are amazing when I'm craving something sweet0

Sweets less frequently.0

Cottage cheese with some chocolate protein powder and a bit of honey. Tastes like adessert0

Chocolate Oatmeal No Bake Cookies
1 Scoop Chocolate Protein Powder of Choice
1 Cup Oatmeal
2 Tablespoons Peanut Butter
8-12 oz. Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
Heat all ingredients on stove until boiling, stirring often. Remove from heat and let cool for about 15 min. Place spoonful at a time on cookie sheet. Refrigerate for at least an hour and enjoy.
These always get me past my "sweets" cravings.0 -

Dried figs. Can have about 5 average sized figs for about 110 calories....they need to be weighed because they do seem to vary.0

I eat sweets. You don't have to eat the whole box of cookies.
I love fruit and flavored Greek yogurt and oatmeal with protein powder and other stuff, but when I want a cookie, nothing else will do.0 -
clementines dipped in dark chocolate
"healthy" cookies made out of banana and oats (add any extras like coconut or nuts)
rice cakes with peanut butter, banana, and even a little honey
apple bars made out of dates, dried apples, hazelnuts, and spices like nutmeg and cinnamon0 -

I go for sour candy. I can only eat so much before my tongue gets raw haha0

I make my own "banana bites" Slice a banana into about 1/4 inch slices. Top one slice with a dab of peanut butter and top that with another banana slice. Put on parchment paper and freeze for 20 minutes. Melt some dark chocolate in a small bowl. Dip the banana bites in the dark chocolate, put back on the parchment paper and freeze again. Store in covered container in the freezer. Sometimes after dipping in chocolate, I'll dip it in unsweetened, shredded coconut or chopped peanuts. Delicious!

When I have a sweet tooth I take two packets of Emergen-C and one scoop of ionic fizz and mix them together. That is pretty much enough to shoot down my sugar cravings because it is super sweet and tart.
Other times fruit, stevia sweetened tea, Halo Top ice cream is also sweetened naturally without sugar.0 -
Ooh, I like to take about one or two dates, chop them up to half a penny size pieces and mix them into a bed of greens! (Like a salad) You get the sweets, nutrients and volume with it0 -

Exactly! I tend to enjoy chocolate milk, it always works. It's not insanely unhealthy, the milk is a good protein source with the added benefit of the calcium is nice to have of course. The chocolate bit obviously isn't the 'best' but doing a tablespoon or so isn't enough to completely ruin a diet.

I don't do alternatives, I just work an accurately-sized portion of sweets into my goals. The serving of ice cream I had tonight was 190 calories for 83 grams.0

Oh.
Just...that sounds so good. Coconut, definitely.

Smaller portions. When I'm really not feeling candy, though, I'd say dried apricots or dried prunes [nature's laxative, and yummy as all get-out]. Small portions of ice cream work out okay, but I haven't found one of those low-cal brands I actually like [Halo Top is recommended, but they aren't in my area]. Skinny Pop Popcorn [about to try white cheddar].0

My FAVORITE sweet tooth curber is chopped up apples in vanilla yogurt with cinnamon sprinkled on top. Or any type of fruit in yogurt really...0
