Is it possible I'm burning 2500-3000 cal a day?

I'm a 32 yo woman weighing ~165. I bought a Basis B1 fitness monitor and have been wearing it all day and night for a few weeks. It's monitoring HR, skin temp, perspiration, and steps. Even on days I don't exercise it says I'm burning >2500 cal/day. Higher, obviously, on big cardio days. Is that possible? That seems SO much higher than online calculators suggest.
I sit a fair amount at work, but not usually for more than 20-30 min at a time. I think I'm fall between sedentary or light activity range.
So, how much would you trust a reading like this? It seems really high to me. I'm not in a huge hurry to lose the weight. I know that I need to really learn good health habits and they take time so I'm not annoyed at my lack of weight loss progress because I am getting stronger and feeling better.

Yes, it's possible. I know a lot of women who are losing weight eating 2,000 or more cals a day, so their total daily need is over 2,500.0

Seems a bit high to me. I have a BodyMedia LINK and if I don't do anything all day (but sit a desk at work), I will only burn about 1,800-1,900 calories which mirrors my TDEE.0

It does sound a bit high.
I plugged your stats (guessed your height at 5'6") into a BMR calculator and came up with 1,532, using the Harris Benedict formula for lightly active (BMR x 1.375) your TDEE came out to 2,106

Me! Me! Me! Yep, I burn anywhere from 2,400 to 2,700 a day per my FitBit Flex....with no traditional, extended cardio. HIIT type stuff only that doesn't even record properly with my Flex, so the numbers here are very likely underestimated. I usually hit 10-12k steps just through daily living as a working at home mom. According to online calculators, my "very active" TDEE is around 2,600. I don't consider myself to be "highly active" but my FB numbers say otherwise. If I were running or doing long cardio sessions, I would be be burning upwards of 3k a day easy. The online TDEE calculators are just an estimate. I trust my Flex WAY more than those now. Especially since I started eating more (like 2,300 a day) and have starting dropping BF% again.
Make sure you are eating enough and enjoy all of your food!! I do. :laugh:0
