Living Life even though I am not at goal weight

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to start this thread because I see a lot of posts about things like What will you do when you lose x, or waiting to buy new clothes until I am goal, or similar things. I used to think like that. I said I will go on vacation when I get to a certain weight, or I will get a tattoo when I get to my goal, and I didn't want to buy new clothes until I got to x amount lost. But what I have learned is that by doing those things, and living my life the way I want to, and not waiting until some number shows up on the scale, I am more motivated to keep going towards my goal. I am no longer sitting back and waiting to live and enjoy life. No I am not at goal yet, and I still have work to do, but I am proud of how far I have come. I got my tattoo, I buy new clothes when I want to, and can afford to, because doing those things are not about my weight, but about being happy with my life. The more I enjoy life the more motivated I am to be healthy. So I say, buy the new clothes, and go on the vacation, even if you are not at goal yet. Don't stop living and loving life just because the scale doesn't say the number you want yet.
