Feeling like giving up

Since I've started using this app I felt like I was doing really good but in reality I've only gained weight in the 2 or 3 months I've been here. Part of the problem is I have fluid built up inside me due to having some issues with my liver. I have gone to a million dr appointments and once they do 2 more tests they should be able to drain it I think. There are days I wake up and immediately start throwing up and it lasts all day. I would think with throwing up at least once a week it would maybe at least make me lose a pound or 2 but nope not at all. So I'm wondering if I should keep on trying to fight what feels like a losing battle or just give up and wait to start when my health improves. I'm so disgusted at how I look but nothing is working. Any thoughts?

    Continue with your diet.
I will assume that you are on a strict plant based diet.
Since any disease that damages the liver that much is pretty serious.

You are very seriously ill if you have ascites. Please don't make it any worse by restricting food! Eat. When/if your health improves, worry about weight-loss.

Umm...just quietly, getting your liver right is probably a wee bit higher on the priority list than losing weight right now. JMO.

I hope you get better soon.

Do you have medical advice for your diet? You cannot judge anything by the scale right now, you need to focus on health.
