A New Start

Hi, last year I was on here with a different profile taking phentermine. I lost over 50lbs in a very short amount of time. But it has almost all come back....It's my fault, I started to snack and quit working out.
But today is a brand new day and I want to turn things around and make the poundage go down!
I am starting my weightloss journey today at a whopping 239......I had gotten down to 194 last year. My goal is to get to 165 and doing all on my own. Gradual changes in diet and lifestyle will hopefully lead me there.
If anyone would like to be friends on here while i do this, it would be appreciated.

Hi, we have a similar story. I lost 40 pounds on here last summer and went from 215 down to 175, then I stopped exercising and ate too much candy at Halloween which turned into pigging out in general. I've since gained all the weight I lost back. I'm adding you. Hopefully we can motivate each other to let these changes stick this time around.0

my downfall was my weight loss journey started because i wanted to look good in my maid of honors dress for my best friends wedding..... i went from a 22 to a 14!! i was so excited and the dress fit great, then 3 weeks before the wedding, it is cancelled. I was so bummed and all my good habits started going down hill. This was in september so then the holiday food started coming and here I am again. Accept this time, im doing it for me and not just for that one dress!0

I will add you! I've been there too, losing then gaining it all back. I think I have finally realized this time that I can't "diet" I have to change my entire lifestyle for good. It will be rough we all need inspiration now and then.0

I'm brand new to this site and could use some inspiration as well. I have LOTS of excuses as to why I gained weight and the justifications are literally killing me! Since turning 40 in December, I have been diagnosed with high blood pressure, pre-diabetes, fatty liver not related to alcohol and of course high cholesterol and depression. I am 5ft 2in and weighed in at 218 at the doctors office this morning (a normal "healthy" weight for someone my size is around 120-130lbs!). I have a high stress job, don't know how to manage calorie counting, food restricting, portion sizing etc and I'm too overwhelmed with all the info out there. I hope to learn as I go. I failed at the Weight Watchers online program earlier this year - hoping to avoid that with this website.0

Your story sounds a lot like mine. I have extreme high stress and fatty liver not related to alcohol. Lots of excuses. I was able to maintain my weight for years with extreme exercising, but these past 2 years have gotten lazy. I too failed at WW. Actually that is wneh I bgan gaining! Add me as a friend, if you like. Good luck...I know you can do it.0
