Just saw this and thought it was pretty cool that someone thought of this problem and is working on a solution.

This is cool. My sister has MS and bought a Fitbit, but due to the way she walks, it doesn't track her steps properly at times. She only goes up a flight of stairs a few times in a day but the Fitbit doesn't register that for her at all.0
