.. so give me your insight on weighing it. Please and thank you!

I'm talking delivery pizza. I guess I'm just thinking that, like cooked food versus uncooked food, a slice will weigh a different amount when it's hot than when it's cold.

I like pizza cold too. But I wouldn't expect much difference in weight/cals cold vs hot.
It's already been cooked, so any moisture lost during cooking has already happened, I can't see too much more change occurring while it's in the fridge.

Cooking changes moisture content and density; temperature differences do not have a significant impact.

Almost any Italian food is delicious cold, lasagna, spaghetti and pizza!

You could always experiment. Weigh it, store it, weigh it again, then eat it.

It will weigh a little less after refrigeration. I love cold pizza (and hot, too lol). I don't weigh it, I log it as 1/8 of the pizza or whatever portion it is. I'm otherwise fastidious with weighing food, but not takeout or restaurant things. I just wanna enjoy my night out away from the kitchen, lol.

Cold pizza is one of the best things in life.

Why would the weight be different when it's cold?

Cold pizza is the absolute best breakfast. I wouldn't worry about the weight difference, as mentioned above it is really the cooking that affects the weight not the post-cooked temperature.

I hated cold pizza as a kid lol, that changed very much as an adult. Cold pizza = Next day meal when I have it which isn't as much as I did before.

    Some pizza tastes better cold.

I don't like a lot of hot tomato sauce

Cold pizza is delish! Consider weighing it right after you make it (or have it delivered) and pre-portion it out. I actually do that with most stuff that I batch-cook, because I make a lot of soups and stews, so moisture content changes the weight drastically.

Wait, why would the weight matter?

Because he's weighing the slice for calorie count.

OP, it'll weigh a bit less after a night in the fridge because it'll have dried out some. This is one of those areas where you may be letting perfection be the enemy of good. Either weigh the slice and add some grams if it bothers you, or just go by the slice (1/8 pizza, 1/10 pizza, etc).

Oh, and yes - cold pizza is delicious

Never tried that (hot or cold). Never intend to either!

Cheese stuffed in the crust ruins the crust, cold or no. If I want cheese in bread, I'll make a grilled cheese or a quesadilla. Much tastier.

The hubby thinks it's gross too, but he holds his tongue, even when I put peanut butter on it. That's right. It's delicious!

    Yep.

Be great to put it in a box. Maybe throw a living cat in there with it!☺

The fridge will dry it out a bit.
