    so now i'm a little pissed... we have Veterans days as a company holiday. we take turns covering those less official holidays to handle phone calls and other potential stuff that "never" comes up....i just got asked to work by my boss and he said the reason was because he was supposed to but he would be not available cuz of a business trip that came up. naturally i say sure...despite it being the day before the last day of Archery hunting season and the kids are off school...my son and i were going hunting.

    here after mentioning that to one of the other girls here, i come to find out she was the one supposed to work it and asked off cuz she has kids too and wanted the day off. Sooooo... now she's off and i'm screwed out of hunting with my son. dammit!

    thats all...*sighs*

    That's mean. Or at least that's my opinion. Someone owes you big time. Hopefully next time you can say "let me think about it" then ask around. Sucks you can't be with your son.

    That is too bad Tom. Is there a way to keep track of whose turn it is to work when everyone else has it off?

    There is a high wind warning for where I live in Washington state. And heavy rain. the backyard is going to turn into a swamp again if it keeps up.

    we do sign up. I worked mine earlier in the year. its just one of those things.
