    Niagara Falls

Oh. I've never been there. I live pretty close to Cumberland Falls and have been there countless time. I'd love seeing Niagara Falls.

Niagara Falls is a lot of fun. There is a lot to do there....lots to do in the area in general. A bunch of good places to eat. And the falls are impressive...

People in southern Ontario will try and convince you it’s the best thing in the world! Overrated!

    One person's opinion

I love it there...there is a Chinese buffet in the casino that serves authentic Chinese food...it is so different than the americanized version...

    Is that the American side?
I love waterfalls and will stop randomly if there's a sign for a waterfall. Niagara is so powerful I think that's what I love the power. It's exciting. It's also really beautiful at this time of year when there's ice all over. It's really majestic. If you stand right at the brink it's pretry awesome

The American side isn't that good...very limited things to do. Although the park itself is really nice.

I be done the ship to the falls...that is impressive...and it looks great at night.

I'd love to see it frozen.

I'd love to see it frozen.

Sometimes the list freezes on the trees and its like a winter wonderland. It's super cool and then there's giant chunks of ice around the falls. This was a couple years ago the first day the boat ran for the season it was soooo Cold p00hnmzic3o1.jpg

Wow....I bet the ponchos were freezing as well....I want to try the zip line next time I'm there...

The zip line didn't look too spectacular. When I was there for that pic we were at a skating competition. Competed in the am, went to the boat will cmfull stage make up then I had to run back to skate again

It's a lot of fun Toronto. If you want real Chinese food there's lots of that here. Lots to do in general really

Where did you go? You don't go for Chinese food in Toronto proper duh
  • Posts: 8,600 Member
Well if I'm coming to visit I will get the lowdown on where to go from you
  • Posts: 36,287 Member
Ya it all depends what you want. For the real Chinese food you go to Markham or Richmond hill. If you want awesome Italian it's Woodbridge. Dinner with a view there's a couple of places. A good dinner and the best view go to the cn tower. If you visit a local as my one friend here did you get the tour, you can visit someone's office in a downtown tour for the view from above then go to a fun local place for dinner

The one thing I've noticed is that Canadians are so nice & friendly. Even when I was fishing tournaments at 1000 Islands...everyone I met was like that

I mean i stayed at the heart of chinatown and tried a bunch of spots. Wasnt bad of course but i find the food by me here much better

Also tried another spot that was a bit further out ( cant recall the exact name ). Was supposed to b popular and have a few locations. Didnt live up to the hype ( my cousin told me it was really good )

You need to go to the "real" places. When I was married for the first time we'd go to places that had chefs from Hong kong. There's a hotel downtown that had the best food. We went with a client of my ex husband who ordered all authentic stuff. As with most places you need to know where to go and it's all very subjective.

Chinatown is *kitten*. It's a tourist trap. I find in Toronto if you're willing to pay you can find good food

And anywhere with a few location's is always commercial and garbage. Sorry
