Happy hearts day to you too0

Happy vday everyone!
I wanted to get some opinions here to make sure I’m not overreacting... today we had a handy man show up to look at a leaky window. He showed up with what appeared to be someone training. They both looked at the window and the older guy asked if I’d be around in 30 mins so they could go get some supplies, I said no problem I’ll be here....
Then maybe 20mins later I was in the bathroom when I heard a knock... I just hurried up in the bathroom and walked out to the younger “apprentice” standing in my living room holding a caulk gun and petting my dog! I didn’t say anything as I was completely shocked to see him there.... the older guy must have stayed back while he came to fix the window....
I wanna tell my landlord but I’m not sure if I’m overreacting or not... but I feel kinda uncomfortable having him come back into my apartment (to fix a door)....0 -
Why do you feel uncomfortable?0

Because he just knocked and then walked on in like it’s nobody’s business... my wife could of been getting out of the shower or something who knows... but I just feel uncomfortable cause he was giving me really weird vibes...0 -
Then you should talk to the landlord or whoever you got these workers from0

I had to have an intervention with my oldest boy for the same reasons yesterday. Low grades because of a crapton of assignments not turned in, ugh0 -

I suspect we'll hear he has stuff he just hasn't done. It sucks cause my boy is really bright, I'm sure yours is too. If he applied himself he could get straight A's but his head is just always thinking of music or cartoons he can make. His sketch book Form grade 3 was awesome.0 -
Hello all....
So glad the days of parent/teacher meetings are over. My son was the same way....very smart...but couldn't get him to apply that in school. Thank God he wised up once he got to the real world....lol0 -
It can be...but it was only a couple of years in high school. A lot depends on who they hang with...my son was hanging with the other guys on the football team....0

Well as usual the boy is very sweet and kind and hilarious and smart but can't focus in school. So back to the adhd clinic to adjust meds I guess. Apparently he's a beautiful writer.
Guess who he sounds a lot like????? Moi!!! Poor kid.1 -
That's not a bad thing...he can be the first Canadian Chef who is also a curling champion0
-
Hahah he does like curling and seems to have a bit of aptitude for it0

Speaking of kids does it look like we got enough for one on the way?

You'll never have enough. There's always something you realize you need. Then there's stuff you realize you didn't need at all.1

Get at least 1 - 2 packs of cloth diapers. You don't need to use them as diapers--they're amazing for cleaning things up and make awesome burp-cloths1

Why?!?!! So I went out with some girls I went to highschool with awhile ago. I realized I've nothing in common with them. They wanted to do something this weekend. I made an excuse to bail. Now it's cancelled cause the hostess is sick. I can't use the same excuse next time. They had wanted to change the date when I bailed. How do I get out of this0

Women are always getting stuck in these kind of predicaments... it reminds me of how me and my wife went to look at two apartments we already knew we didn’t want because we had found one, but she insisted we go anyway and act like we’re still looking, because she didn’t wanna hurt the landlords feelings... probably the same thing your doing here....
if it were me I’d honestly just say “hey sorry but I really rather not” instead of leading them on... then bailing.... then again I don’t give people I don’t like the wrong impression, In fact I’m usually pretty good at letting them know so they aren’t let down later... call it rude if u want but personally I’d rather not get “led along” clearly you have no intention of hanging out with them...1 -
Sorry just reading that makes it sound like I’m an azz but I do understand where you’re coming from... and how hard that can be. I just think it’d be easier for you and them (ok maybe just them) if you just told them you weren’t interested....1

I did an oops. I thought we had curling at 8:30 but it was at 6:30. So our team had to default cause we weren't there0
