How do you know you are Mr Bacons favourite human and not your wife?
When rats are happy, their ears lower and turn dark pink. When they're REALLY happy, they grind their teeth together to make a sort of chuffing sound called bruxing that's similar in function to a cat purr. And when they're overjoyed, they grind their teeth together so hard that their eyes move in and out (called boggling). My rats will routinely abandon my wife when I walk into the room, run up to me begging to be picked up, and brux and boggle when I hold and pet them.1 -
