Nitro burning race cars. 0 to 300 in 1000 feet
Wow I'd love to try one of thous. Must be thrilling to drive them
I have been half that fast 0-150 in 1320 feet and it was crazy fast. I can't even imagine what it must be like. You have to wear ear plugs and the shock wave hits you as the cars go by. They also race motorcycles that go almost 200mph in the same distance. Now that is wild!
Wow, that must be amazing! I have to be very careful about control wile riding, I could never control 200 mph but man would I love the feeling.
Are you a race car driver Alan?Mr_Stabbems wrote: »nitroalley wrote: »nitroalley wrote: »

apparently the rider is subjected to some serious acceleration force, 5x the weight of the rider I think I read.
The bike stuff is insane, I can barely control 160 on the r6 I cant imagine 200 in half the time.
I can't even control 120 mph, bike's too heavy.0 -

This is always an issue with lighter riders, the key is to tuck in as much as possible and really lean on the corners. I'm a lot bigger than you so it's a bit easier although I have to contend with the wind resistance.
110+ and if the wind catches you it's a pain in the *kitten* lol

I do race corvettes. That is my track. I used to ride motorcycles. Too dangerous where I live.0

I'm sorry to hear that. Riding is one of my ways to let go and be free. I hope you'll get a bike againMr_Stabbems wrote: »nitroalley wrote: »nitroalley wrote: »

Yeah I know I had to have my bike altered a lot just so I could handle it and I'm new at this so I don't really ride any faster then the speed limit so far.
My bike has 100 kg on me (I think that's around 220 pounds).. I'm kinda jealous of you guys right now, being bigger and heavier and therefor able to go faster and handle the bikes better.0 -
There was a wicked cross wind yesterday. Had to wear my hat backwards or it would blow off. There is a sky diver that lands during opening ceremonies every year. At about 250 feet he did a flip and went upside down. And missed the landing spot by 100 yards. He got it right at the moment of impact and just stayed there on his hands and knees for about 5 minutes. I think he was saying a prayer of thanks. I don't know how the bikes were keeping them straight down the track. Especially with lifting the front wheel for the first 600 feet.0

So they're riding in a strong wind.. that must add a bit to the danger and you must have very experienced riders on your track. Wow, that skydiver was lucky...0 -
They are professionals that tour the country. Several women drive pro stock motorcycles. Googles Angel Sampey from New Orleans. She has been doing it for years. She just came back after having a child.0

The worst cross wind I ever had was on the severn bridge, took me across my lane and almost into the barriers. Was really hard work!
@arathels i'm assuming you've had the susp lowered and a seat reduced? It's not all that great being taller lol, I get wind buffeting off the windshield all the damn time!0 -
@Mr_Stabbems No it was lowered, both front and back and by more then an inch so it altered it a bit. I'm afraid you'd hate my bike lol.
@nitroalley I'll be sure to check her out. Thanks0 -
@arathels lol I always find the CBR's a little small for me anyway, tbh you'd probably hate my ones! especially the bmw, its very very tall!0
