What's a good pedometer and/or other device for someone without a data plan or smartphone? We have no intention of getting a data plan for at least a year, longer if we can hold out. Which means phone apps that track mileage or routes using gps are useless. A friend gave me a cheapie pedometer that she had lying around, but it kept resetting and then the clip broke within a couple of days. Would like to at least start tracking steps. Ideas?

Fitbit zip. Fitbit one if you'd also like to count floors.0

You can use MapMyFitness and enter in your route through the computer. You draw out your route (I find it helpful to turn off the "stick to roads"). If you note your start and end time, it will give you your average pace for the distance in the map you draw.0

Garmin Forerunner 15, does steps and has GPS tracking built in. Charges and syncs via USB to your computer and can be found for under $100.0
