ISO: Attitude adjustment (or apple shape success stories)

This post should be a work-in-progress success story. I should be amazed by what I've accomplished so far. Instead I'm focusing on the one part that's not going the way I want and whining about it.

So far I've:
  • Lost 19 pounds from my highest ever weight
  • Dropped my A1C to 5.0. I had gestational diabetes twice and have 2 first-order relatives with T2, so this is huge!
  • Lost 2 cup sizes and 1 band size
  • Lost an inch and a half in my hips
  • Gone down a size in some clothes

But instead I'm whining because I've only lost half an inch in my waist. I was already apple shaped to begin with. I've been able to go down a size in some pants, but I've got a lot of pants that now fit perfectly in the waist with a saggy butt, and shirts that are huge in the chest.

So I'd love a kick in my saggy butt about what I've accomplished OR motivational stories from apple shapes who just suddenly dropped inches in their waist at about 20 pounds down. Or maybe someone who loves to shop who will pick out things that look great on apple shapes.

Sorry Hun, no can do.... us apple people are the unfortunate winners of the 'Stubborn Stomach Fat' trophy.... but you're right, your accomplishment thus far are HUGE... yay you!! It seemed to take forever but I've seen a 4" decrease in the waistline, 4 inches that I battled for 5 days a week in a gym. The big diff for me happened when I when Palo (caveman eating). My numbers also went golden and dropped weight and inches left, right and center. Still, have patience, IT WILL HAPPEN. You've gone too far to turn back now, hang in and keep doing it and one day I promised you'll be looking at an hourglass in the mirror. You WILL send that tummy to the curb! If I can, you can!

Thanks! I know it will happen and that there are plenty of other reasons to keep on keeping on. Today I'm just feeling particularly mopey because these jeans are particularly tight in the waist and saggy in the butt. I'm trying to remember that it's more of a fashion problem than a body problem.
