Does the elliptical work? I just bought one and was wondering if anyone has seen results using one.

For cardio-vascular health, yes it does.

Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have an apartment that has it's own gym room and there are 3 elliptical machines and 4 treadmills. I used to get on the treadmill thinking it would help me but one day I tried the elliptical and wow - what a difference! It requires a bit more stamina at first to use (in my humble opinion) but its much easier on the joints. I've been using it for at least a year now and I'm down 20 lbs. I can now crank the level to 5 and can stay on for 4.5 miles (35 mins) and that is HUGE for me! (Chronic Migraine Sufferer turned normal migraine sufferer).

Sure does help the heart. Wish I could afford and had room in my house for a Precor.

Yes. Do intervals on it. Set it to measure the steps per minute rate, and jog on it at a normal pace for 1 minute, then go really fast for 1 minute. Then normal pace for 1 minute, then really fast for 1 minute. For example, my rate is around 100 at normal pace, and I'm up to around 230 for the fast pace. Do that for about 30-40 minutes, and you'll burn lots of calories.

I use one and have seen results. I do HIIT and try to keep the tension high, but my joints are dodgy and can only do so much tension.

Results? If you are trying to lose weight, elliptical helps but what you eat is more important. You need to be at a caloric deficit
