When I started working in an office I was recovering from breast cancer treatment and was at a very low (unhealthy for me) weight. The sedentary lifestyle of office work and an open kitchen and candy bowl quickly changed that and I gained nearly 30 pounds within 4 months! I topped out at 175 lbs about a year ago and I said enough is enough! I knew MFP worked because I had used it successfully before I had cancer to lose weight. I started cutting out the candy.. then the soda.. then added in a few walks a week and have tracked my diet and exercise off and on using MFP for the last year not really noticing any progress.. then the other day I looked at a progress report and realized I have lost 19 pounds in that year! That is a lot of fat! So I'm recharged and ready to keep going with my journey. A lot of my dietary changes have become more a way of life than a diet and I'm working on a few nutritional goals now. I'm also going to increase my exercise because that's a part of my life that not only helps me lose weight but I feel great too! My next goal is to become more involved here in groups, challenges and discussions. I'm looking for friends too.. so if you need motivation or just want someone pumped to share the journey with send me a request. Feeling excited and ready to move forward toward my next goals! We can do this!

Congratulations & keep well, great to hear your story, double inspiration thank you

I was treated for ovarian cancer in 2013, my weight increased big time after treatment, worked hard - lost 40lbs
Started back in an office and have put 22lbs on in a year
So I am back trying to combine both working and eating healthy , never quite found level of working/eating well/exercising
Add me if you fancy a buddy - we have similar stories to tell
