Ally - different things for different people, right? I don't know if you like to cook or not, so sharing more information would probably make it easier for others to answer this.
I am keeping it simple for now. I don't have to worry about anyone but me since DH is out of town and cat and dog don't care  I have a george foreman grill that I use every day. Lunch is 90 percent lean hamburger patty, grape tomatoes or romaine lettuce with lemon juice, a large Fuji apple & garlic flavored Melba snacks (they are dense & crunchy and help replace the evil chips) . Dinner is either chicken breast or grilled shrimp, asparagus (I love it so it's motivating) or celery, blueberries, strawberries or raspberries, and bread sticks. I let myself snack on very thinly sliced cheddar cheese in the evening. I like it more than string cheese. I . am drinking tons of water, usually with a lemon or line slice, tea & avoiding diet soda. My cheat is zevia sodas - they're made with stevia which is a healthy sweetener. I let myself have one when I feel like I want to bing. All of this is very quick and easy. Hope this helps & good luck on the journey. :flowerforyou:0 -

I eat a variety of mostly whole foods totaling about 1500 calories per day. I am gluten free, but that is for health reasons, not to lose weight. Nothing is prohibited, but items that are not especially nutritionally dense AND are high is calories are eaten only after careful consideration and in "appropriate" quantities to fit my calorie and macro goals. I try for 40% carbs and 30% protein and fat. Lately I've been a bit heavy on the fat for some reason (not worrying particularly over that - things will balance over time)0

Honestly I don't diet. I never have because it's impossible! Just make slight changes TO your diet and you'll see yourself improve! Figure out how much you should be eating, eat whole foods, nothing processed, and do physical activity everyday!!0
