What means Sugar for fitnesspal? All sweets? Dextroza, Maltodextrine, fructose, sucrose, glucose? All theese?

    It's about what is listed on the food labels, which is where they gather the data. But yes, there are over 100 names for sugar! They all should count.

    I just ignore the sugar limit on MFP. I have no medical reason to worry about it.

    Lots of MFP users edit their settings to remove the sugar category completely and still lose weight healthily.

    It's irrelevant. All Carbs are sugar. Keep carbs under 100 grams/day.

    If you have cholesterol or pre-diabetes problems, tracking sugar can be beneficial.
    Over-consumption can foul up the numbers.

    MFP counts sugar as food additives and what's in fruits and vegetables. While many people will advocate that "sugar is not evil", there's just as many who will tell you the opposite. The only one who knows how it will/does affect you, your health and fitness goals is YOU. So having access to the data in MFP to see how much you consume, compare it to your daily energy and well being and against your overall goals, is pretty important. Best of luck.

    For whole foods it is the amount of sugar found in the food regardless of the type of sugar.

    Anything that's on the Nutrition label under sugar. Not malto-dextrin, that's a modified starch so is a carbohydrate but not a sugar,
