I lost and gained weight multiple times. When I turned 50 I realized that rapid weight loss doesn't work. I started to work systematically using a diary to build up healthy habits to last the rest of my life. I got a psychologist and she helped me to prioritize time with friends and meditation because otherwise I use food to calm me and to provide fun and happiness. I learned to say no sometimes. Counting calories is useful because I realized I can include 45 grams of icecream sometimes so my eating isn't so Spartan as i assumed it had to be. I found it is way better for me to lose weight at a rate of about 1 kilo a month ie 2 pounds than to have a really low calorie intake which sends my body into starvation mode and triggers me to eat and eat until I've regained all the weight and more. it's much more about your overall life than about food. Don't diet. Teach yourself healthy habits that you can live with for the rest if your life. I find i can learn habits better one atva time than all at once.

Thanks for your advice, I think that's the thing cutting foods out then you start eating them again! It's not realistic
I do love my food 2 lol. I'm gonna try the calorie counting see how I get on this way & still eat what I want hopefully

Do you remember how good you felt last year when you lost that weight? You should hold on to that feeling not the negative feeling about what you've gained back. Positive thinking can be the best motivation.
