No it doesn't take long at all. I just make sure I am organized and have everyrhing on hand before I start. On a day off I will spend one to two hours cooking, then I don't normally have to do it again for three weeks. This is for "work" meals. For everyday meals I just prep what's on hand and it's just become habit. The key is not keep inventory of quality proteins/carbs in stock at home and not let things run out.
