Please do not kill me if this was already asked!

I bought an HRM last weekend and have been using it relentlessly. My question is this, would the cals burned be reliable in this? I know MFP isn't giving me enough burned compared to my HRM but I dont want to give myself more that I earn. Does this make sense?

Does ur hrm have a chest strap? If so then u def. use it, if not I'm not sure what number you should use.

MFP is an avg. HRM is the most accurate tool. I too have a problem when I enter my time spent running or cycling and it gives me less so i have to enter the cal's burned instead of the number that pops up when you enter your exercise.

I would use the number for the HRM, that is reading YOU and not just an average on the webpage
