I'm vegetarian and when checking my nutrition I'm often over my carb limits let alone fibre. I'm personally happy with my protein intake. Any ideas how to reduce my carbs as a lot of my protein is from pulses.

Hey there! I am not sure how much protein you are taking... Or fat. Are you trying to go low carb (which is possible as vegetarians), or do you just want to reduce the carbs a bit? Instead of legumes (pulses), you can try seeds, nuts, meat analogs such as tempeh, seitan, tofu. If you're lactoovo, you can get protein from dairy and eggs instead of pulses. For a low carb diet, beans can be eaten, but usually limited (1/2 c portion sizes). Some vegetables contain a good amount of protein, as do mushrooms.

No reason to cut the carbs unless you want to do low carb/keto. Whole foods carbs are super healthy for you.

Do not worry about the MFP carb count. Vegetarians usually eat more carbs than meat eaters.

I'm high carb and love it. I can do this for life.
Lots of beans, lentils, barley, quick oats, and fruits and veggies.
As long as you stay within your daily caloric intake, you will lose weight.

If you want to cut carbs then eat more fat, but remember the volume of food you eat will be less because there are 4 calories for 1g carbs and 9 calories for 1g fat. Assuming you are wanting your calories to remain the same.

I am lacto ovo vegetarian. I manage to eat 50-60g protein daily, occasionally more when I make lentil chilli or bolognese.I eat seeds, nuts, quorn, tofu. It was my GP who told me to try and lower my carbs as I was struggling to lose weight.I only want to reduce carbs a little. I have toyed with protein shakes, they made me feel ill.My fat intake is around 65g pet day, mostly unsaturated from the nuts & seeds, saturated of course when I eat eggs & cheese.Currently my macros are set at 50:20:30 (C:P:F).All I want is a well balanced diet.
