Hi
Since I have been lazy bugger during uni I signed up for a 10k in May. On week 6 of c210k and now have the fear!
Does running ever get easier?! I was fine on a treadmill but to be honest outdoors is brutal!

When it does get easier we do something stupid like signing up for an even longer race........running is addictive like that.
Seriously, yes, it gets easier as your aerobic base improves and as your body makes the physiological adaptations that distance running demands. It's also largely mental, our brains lie to us and tell us we're exhausted long before we really are.
Keep at it, stick to your training plan, keep the pace for most of your runs conversational and remember to smile as you cross the finish line.0 -
Thanks! Think i was possibly overzealous and should have done a five k first!0

I went from not running to a 10k in 12 weeks, it's totally doable... 18 months later I am training for a half marathon.
