Do I do cardio or weights first for the best results

I hate cardio, but people always said you had to do cardio. Turns out that's not true. So I don't do very much of it. I'll go for walks and hit the elliptical for 10 minutes as a warm up, but I prefer to do weights. Maybe when I lose more weight again I'll be able to enjoy it more (although I didn't really enjoy it 100 lbs and 12 years ago either).
Really, what gives you the best results is the exercise you'll actually enjoy doing. I burnt myself out in the past trying to cram in cardio and weights. Seeing no results from the weights because I burnt off too much energy from cardio. I also didn't take the proper care in understanding nutrition and fueling myself for a workout.
Doing weights also prevents the loss of lean mass as you lose weight.0 -
I really enjoy both im going to slow down the cardio because I don't want to loose muscle thanks0

"Best results" in what? Cardiovascular fitness or just appearance?0

Well if looks is all that matters, then the advice is sound.0

Wish there was a way to have both0

My personal trainer always has me to 10min of cardio to get my heart rate going and stretch out the muscles a bit... then I do weights for about 30-45min... and then follow up with another 20min of cardio. Your body starts burning fat about 30min into a work out... Hope this helps.0

First a couple of corrections to the myths in this thread....
Cardio doesn't make you lose muscle.
It doesn't take 30 minutes to start burning fat.
For most people and workouts it really doesn't matter. Do first whatever you like or prioritise first which is more important to you.
If you feel one compromises the other do them on separate days.
