I have been eating no more than 1100 calories, and walking 7-10 miles a day! In 3 weeks I've only lost 9 lbs.

That's great progress! Life isn't like "The biggest loser" where people lose 15lbs a week...
Make sure you're weighing your food, logging correctly and you should see results. Slow results are still results - especially for females where hormones and period cycles can temporarily mask weightloss.0 -
Tyvm! Just feeling frustrated0

That is awesome weight loss. Keep going!! It will slow down but don't be discouraged.0

3 pounds a week is a success you should be proud of. Congratulations!1

We didn't gain it overnight and we sure won't lose it overnight either. Just remember the slower it comes off the more likely it is to stay off.
That said, 9lbs in 3 weeks is a HUGE number.0 -
Thank you all!0

Actually 3 pounds a week is pretty aggressive, MFP recommends a max of 2 pounds a week for your goals. Personally every now and then I may lose 2 pounds in a week but I average just a little over a pound a week.
Remember that weight loss isn't linear, there will be weeks when you've retained water for whatever reason (salty food, muscle building if you lift and the ever joyful, time of the month water retention.) you will be heavier. Look at trends in what your weight is doing for a more complete picture.
For me, the biggest concern when I'm being aggressive about weight loss, is that I get burned out because what I'm doing isn't sustainable. I've been working really hard to find a healthier way of life that I can live with, so I won't backslide.

What the heck do you mean "only"? Get a grip on reality and get some patience! 3lbs a week is actually MORE than the healthy recommended maximum.0

PMS? High sodium meal yesterday? Full moon? Well, maybe not the full moon. Water retention masks weight loss. Try not to get too focused on the number on the scale. This is a long game. Have some patience. You will be happier with the result if you enjoy the ride.0 -
And the problem is?????........0
