An extended "rest day." Thoughts?

Is three days off from exercise too much? I know it's beneficial to have a "rest day," but because of certain circumstances my rest day extended to three (I was visiting my sister in Chicago so I didn't have my typical workout stuff). I had to miss two days of cardio and a day of strength training. I know this isn't going to like completely change my body or anything, I guess I was just curious if anyone knew what, if anything, would happen. Also, my eating habits definitely altered a bit. I went to Taco Bell, had a slice of cake, and had a small portion of fried food. Whaaaaat. Crazy, haha. Anyway, I guess back to the original idea of this post, three days off of exercise won't hurt too much right? I think I'm mostly worried I'll do strength training and then be more sore or something

An extra day off from training here or there will probably do more good than harm. I often take a few days off just to let the old body chill.

As far as Taco Bell I haven't been there in years but it also should not hurt at all so long as you stay within or close to your calorie goals. Even if you go wayyyy OVER once it wont matter. What matters are the trends.

You'll be fine. I've taken off 3 days in a row before. If you end up being sore, just try to muscle through it.

I take an extra day off about once a month and I seem to actually do better after the longer rest period. I seem to increase strength and have better endurance.

I don't think it would be an issue. If I am travelling for leisure, I don't plan to workout and usually eat at maintenance or slightly over at times. I resume my usual habits when I return home. I think sometimes the break does the body good.

You'll gain a little water weight from the food. You might even feel stronger when you go back because of the added rest. I often do.
