    I am still working on losing weight and ran my first half marathon in January and now I'm training to do three half marathons in 2017 with a bunch of 5Ks and 10Ks along the way. I am sending a friend request now...

    I'm not a runner, but I'm signed up to walk a 1/2 marathon in September. I'm up to 6 mile walks, need to keep upping my mileage so I'm ready to go!

    Mine is in Toledo, Ohio on April 24th. This will be my 4th half marathon.

    You can add me! I don't have any races on the books right now but I'm trying to get back into running regularly and hope to do a few races over the summer and fall. I am trying to lose 25-30 lbs.

    there are a few runners groups and one monthly running challenge. you will find them a huge resource

    Friend request sent! I'm training for some half marathons this summer too, and using them as part of my training for my first full marathon in August. Two years ago I thought my friends were crazy when they convinced me to sign up for a half marathon, but I loved the training and I'm still going! I never would have imagined even considering a full marathon then. I lost 30 lbs, of which 10 came back but I'm headed back in the right direction now. As of today, I have 16 more pounds to lose. My first half marathon of the summer (this will be #8) is in late May.

    My goal is to run, any distance race, in all 50 states. 6/50 done. One new state scheduled this fall. It's a great excuse to travel!

    FR sent to some of y'all. I'm a distance runner. Dozens of races since '08. Currently training for a trail 25k next wk, Downhill marathon next month, 50k (31mi) in June, and about 10 more in 2016. Hoping to run a 80k, 100k (62mi) in July, August too.
    Always have room on my FR for distance runners.

    I put in for the Royal Parks half, but didn't get through the ballot :(

    Now trying to decide whether to aim for a Christmas half or to take advantage of a discount entry to a full marathon in 12 months time....

    Training for my first Half Marathon in July. Currently up to 6 mile runs. Hoping to increase my runs over the next few weeks. Been averaging 10-12 miles a week. Good luck!
