Im on spring break too! We're on a road trip. Things I'm doing: I upped my calorie intake to lose 0.5 lb/wk since I'm eating out WAY more. I also utilize the hotel gyms, walk a ton sightseeing, and pack a cooler with healthy snacks. I have two water bottles, string cheese, trail mix, luncheon meats, wheat bread, hummus, cucumbers, pita chips, etc. I believe food in Indonesia would be fresh and generally healthy. Enjoy the local cuisine and take public transit (you'll walk more and get a more authentic experience). See if there's a walking or biking tour? Those are always fun and a great way to make friends, especially if you're travelling solo.

Enjoy your trip! Indonesia is definitely on my list!

You use your experience in making food choices and portion control.
8 days out of a year estimating or even guessing really isn't that significant - enjoy your vacation.

I tend to go into maintenance mode then. I eat mainly starters, soups and salads (dressing on the side). I also walk a lot.

Try to make smart choices. But remember it is vacation! Relax and enjoy your self. I grew up with an Indonesian uncle so I ate a lot of Indonesian food and it is amazing. Still make some of those recipes to this day! I am off to the Bahamas next week end and I try to use the some of the suggestions TB221 made. We pick up healthier snacks for the beach and try to walk where we are headed as often as possible..... When I get back I weigh in and try to get back to my routine...

Maybe do a little research on common dishes in Indonesia and pick a few that meet your macros as your go-to staples. I've found that on vacations where I'm out and about doing a lot of exploring, the calories usually take care of themselves.

I don't log when I am on vacation. I try to make healthy protein and veggie choices. Of course I indulge a bit. Research the types of food there are if you're not familiar with the cuisine. Also, most times I do a tons of walking so that tends to even things out a bit

This - I like to go for the local foods and try to stay away from the tourist trap places. Enjoy

If I were going to Indonesia I would focus on sampling as much of the local cuisine as possible. I would NOT focus on losing weight or even maintaining weight.
