So I've been using this app and it says for me to eat 1600 calories a day. I use Daily Burn everyday and burn about 600-800 calories with it so then it tells me to eat about 2200 calories. With this said however, my net calorie for the day, even when eating more to accommodate the calories I burned, is way less than 1200 (which I know is the lower limit of calories someone should eat a day). I'm concerned that my body is only getting about 800 net calories a day. I don't want to stop working out, but I also get full kind of easy. I need some advice and help as to what to do so that I know I can reach no less than 1200 calories a day! Anyone out there workout and still get enough calories??

I never eat back my calories!!!! I'm not eating if I'm not hungry either. You'll get different responses, but the way I see it, once that calories are gone, I don't want them any more.0

I eat 1300 to 1400 effortlessly. Some days I try to eat 1100 or 900 if I feel fine. No point in forcing myself to eat more than I want. On workout days I try to eat above 1200 but not more than 1500.
Everything is great for my wt loss.
It's easy to eat a lot of calories. It's eating less while still feeling great is the million dollar question in this process.0 -

Are you using a food scale? It is unlikely you are netting 800 calories without feeling constantly hungry. If you haven't been, try using a food scale for a couple of weeks to ensure what your calorie level is. I am 43, 5'5" 130lbs and only lightly active, and I could easily eat 1200 cals for dinner if I wanted to!
Unless you are very small/petite you should be netting at least 1200 calories to make sure you are getting enough nutrition and fueling your workouts.
How are you getting your calorie burns? Most are way over-estimated, so you should eat back anywhere from 25%-75% to be safe.
So basically, first get a food scale and start weighing portions and aiming to eat back @ half your exercise calories. After that, if you are really netting only 800 cals, try adding calories dense foods like avocado, nuts and nut butters, cheese, fruit smoothies, etc to fuel your body and your workouts. Good luck!0
