Hey everyone!
Ok, i guess short and sweet what i need to say is, can this be accurate? 1810 calories a day to lose a lb a week. i walk A LOT (im a fairly active person) at work and come home with another 1200 calories or so "extra" that i supposedly can consume from my exercise. Id dont even make it to my normal calorie intake most days so it doesnt seem possible to eat that many calories and still lose weight.
Ive already lost 70 lbs and am trying to lose 10 more. Seems like 1800 calories is way to much to eat to keep losing weight. Im currently at 156ish.

    I eat about 1700-1850 a day. I eat back only 20% of my exercise calories. I am 5'10", 31, and 165 lbs.

Don't try to eat back all your exercise calories. Eat back half, at most.

Are you counting your work as exercise? That should be included in your activity level and not added separate as exercise.

I wear a fitbit and it counts my steps and exercise seperate. I walk on average 15 to 18 thousand steps a day an it usually gives me almost 1000 calories burned from just that not including any "active minutes" which is treadmill or sports with my kids. Idk, it just seems crazy that im burning as many calories as it says. And my weight keeps fluctuating between 155 an 160. I cant seem to break past it.

I can maintain on 22-2400 calories. I also walk a lot (8-10miles/day) and have a job where I never sit down. I certainly don't burn 1000cal from my walking. More like 4-500. Walking a mile burns 50-70 calories per mile. 15-18000 steps equates to roughly 7.5-9 miles so I'd say the MAX you'd burn assuming 9 miles/day would be ~630. And unless you are walking consistently, I'd imagine it's even less than that as your heart rate isn't maintained while at rest. I think it's very much overestimating your burn.

Well Fitbits tell you your calories you burn just "living". Like you're always burning calories through out the day just being alive. It has a heart rate monitor also so it tells me when i reach whats known as "active min", also when I'm walking so fast at work (sometimes running) that I've reached what is my body's "fat burn" zone.
There had to be a little something to it's accuracy. I've had it on every day for over a year now and I've lost 70 pounds. I've only just recently started using the app for it paired with Myfitnesspal to physically see my numbers and thats whats blowing my mind is to how many calories I'm burning. Im only eating about 1400 a day. Like i said, I'm just stuck with this last 5-10 lbs an cant lose it.
