In the Lead!!

I am finally in the Lead for our Biggest Loser Comp here at work. We only have 2 weeks to go. There has been this guy I work with that has been a machine and I could never catch him until now!! Now I've caught him and even passed him.

I am not holding my breath though to win the whole thing in 2 weeks. We have another guy here who lost 7% in 1 week just by riding his bike to work. He said he was going to do that, eat bad for the first 2 months and then sweep in at the end to take the win. He knew he could drop a ton of weight real quick. :grumble:

So, this week, he actually gained. But, still he could come back in the next two weeks and take it. My biggest competition though is the guy that has been in the lead since the beginning.

As it stands right now. I have lost 8.72% in 11 weeks. He has lost 8.33%. I had a big loss this week (6lbs) so I am thinking I might lose the lead next week, but dang it, I am going to celebrate my little victory for a bit. :drinker:

In the end, it won't matter because we are all winning from this competition, but the $100 prize sure would be nice.

That's great! Wow. That's a lot of weight. I've lost exactly 10% of my starting weight. Wow, I never stopped to calculate that! keep up the good work, sounds like you're working hard!!

Thanks! Ya know, I want to. I reaaaaaaaaally reaaaaaaaallly want to kick their arses! 1. Because they are boys and me beating boys would be awesome. 2. Because I got ripped off sort of in the beginning.

Since the scale they brought in to weight everyone didn't go up as high as I weigh, I weighed myself @ home and was 4lbs less at home then the scale we ended up using week to week. Meaning, that I actually started out 4lbs heavier then what I first reported so, in actuality, I should be at a 9.77 lost. So, like I said, I really want to win because if it comes down to 1% difference, I am going to be mad.

I tried to protest it when they said I had to use this other scale and couldn't adjust my starting weight, but they wouldn't change it. It was really a mess. Made me feel horrible too because I had to explain to everyone that that first scale doesn't hold my weight. Now I want to show all these arseholes a thing or two. :grumble:

That's so good! Keep it up!

What a great support at work to be able to have something fun like that to help you through.

I sure hope the guy riding his bike doesn't come in for the kill at the end. That would be so unfair and since he is a dude he could lose the weight! Good luck to ya, that 100 bucks could be a new outfit!

I am so upset. I am NOT going to win. Get this, that @sshole is riding his bike 5-9 hours a day. He is riding into the middle of the night/morning to lose the weight. He hopes to lose 10 more lbs in 2 days. That will take him to just around 13%. There is no way I can beat that. I am currently @ 10.75%. I am so upset. Mainly because he did this in a weeks time. He was only at 3.56% last Friday.

I know I shouldn't be this upset about it, but I am. I needed that money. I had planned on buying a cute outfit. So, I guess I didn't "need" the money. I wanted it.

I have been detoxing all week to try and win this thing. I just want to give up, but I won't. I will work out for 2 hours tonight and if that isn't enough screw it I will still win in my heart.

You've lost 89 lbs!! That's amazing! Even if you don't win the $100 for this contest just think about all the money you're saving on future health costs, less food intake, less gas, etc. That guy won't be able to keep up that lifestyle where you've made a lifestyle change. Congratz on what you've accomplished.

Thank you! I know in the end, I am the real "winner". I lost 50 before this contest so yeah, 39 lbs in the last 3 months isn't too shabby. I shouldn't be bitter, I should be happy with all that I have done. $100 isn't that much, I think it is just the principal. I know I need to take some advice I have read on here many times that is really good "Just worry about yourself".

Secretly though, I can't wait to see him balloon up again. Isn't that just horrible?

Think of it this way. He's not losing it healthfully. If he were, he'd have to eat all those calories back and I can guarantee you he wouldn't be losing 10 lbs in 2 days because that's just not healthy... even if he had 200 lbs to lose, I don't think that's the way to go. And, another thing. He won't be able to keep this up much longer!!!
