Late night cardio

It's 12:23 am where I am. Just finished my cardio. I'm still learning proper health and fitness. Are you supposed to eat after working out so late? I am kind of hungry, but worried since it is late and don't want to negate workout.

    Depends: On how long your work out was, how hungry you are, do you get heartburn if you eat and go to bed soon after? Do you wake up in the middle of the night hungry?

    I suggest that if you do eat something, go for a light carb/ protein mix :PB and banana or bread or low cal protein drink. Nix any caffeine, big meals can lead to GERD/ Heartburn. So can some fruits like citrus.

    Me personally, I can work out, get ready bed and out like the lights. No need for a meal, even after a workout of more than an hour. I am hungry in the AM, but then just increase my protein.

    Was run/walk for 50 minutes. Kind of hungry since I ate 1/2 hotdog at ball game earlier. My stomach is sensitive with certain foods at night. Blah. I'll have a small apple and water I suppose.
