Hello Everyone,
I am still a little new to "MyfitnessPal" and so far I am loving the community.
If you are new like me Welcome and I hope you enjoy this community as much as I do.
Although I am new to this community, I am not new to living an healthy lifestyle. I recently lost about 45 pounds in a matter of 6 months ( Very drastic) but I was pretty damn strict. Anyways..
I wanted to share some tips with you all on how I lost my weight, and what I ma doing to maintain it, Hopefully this helps!
Tip One; Your drink of choice should always be a nice glass of H2O, I cut out all juices, coffee, and soda. It is hard, especially when your used to drinking yummy carbonated drinks. However, I found loop holes- Like Tea with one packet of sugar or Black Coffee w/some vanilla or natural sweetener.
Tip Two: Intermediate Fasting- Intermediate fasting is a fasting method that worked best for me. Basically the type that I chose was the 16/8 method. I ate all my carbs, proteins, and sugars during an 8 hour period- and I fasted for 16 hours after that. This did the job for me. If you want to know more about this method- please message me
Tip Three: Subs For that Sweet Tooth- I did not deprive myself of all the goodies in the world-I still ate clean- but I found great substitutions for my sweet tooth cravings. For instance, I ate jello, because jello doesn't contain much sugar, and its a great little treat to have with your lunch/dinner. I did eat dark chocolate here and there, I also love to bake. So I learned a few great recipes that I'd more then happy to share with you all if you'd like
Tip Three: Do something fun for exercise- on top of 30min of cardio. When I first started out- I hated my body, I was ashamed to work out at the gym, I lacked self confidence in every way. But one day I found the courage to attend a Zumba class, and I loved it ! It was were I got all my cardio in. At first Zumba was my only work out of the day, and it was great. After two months , I felt more athletic, I lost weight, I gained the confidence to work out in the gym. Zumba became my "warm up". I encourage you all to explore diff ways of working out, find a passion in something, Then working out might not become so tedious. You got this!
Sorry that this was so brief- but feel free to comment on my page or message me your questions ! Or if you just need a friend - I am here
