Tasty, low cal, and high protein. I'm a fan, but I suppose it depends on your tastes and goals.

Shrimp are a great source of protein and lower in calories than some meats. Sometimes I eat them with cocktail sauce or in shrimp alfredo.

I am ok with them as long as they are not breaded and fried but they are shell fish.

I love shrimp. I put them on a salad often. Good protein, lower in cals, and little fat. It you are watching your sodium....be a bit careful they are extremely high (after all they are salt water grown).

I eat them. Just be cautious of the higher sodium content. :)

They're a little expensive for me to regularly buy.

Love the protein and calorie count on shrimp. I like to make shrimp taco salads. Great volume of food for little calories.

Oooh you know what I love? Shrimp with broccoli, grilled together with some cashews and garlic. SO DELICIOUS! Prawns/shrimp are great because they're low calorie and have lots of protein, and they go so well in healthy stir-fries and curries :)

Shrimp + Shirataki Noodles + Fat Free Cream Cheese + Pureed Cauliflower= bomb macro friendly shrimp alfredo.

Pureed cauliflower eh? I've done something similar with laughing cow, nutritional yeast, a little half and half-with the shirataki too. I don't know if I tried shrimp though. I think it was sausage. This is up my alley though, will try. You puree the cauliflower and cream cheese together?

Yep, it adds a ton of volume, and you know I'm all about volume eating lol.

Ditto. I normally don't try people's recipes but I may do this. I bought all of my neighborhood's shirataki noodles and I'm waiting for them to come back in :'(

Thanks you for responding! I didn't have a real concern other than the nutritional facts of shrimp, honestly I forgot all about them and was wanting to true some different. I did make saute some shrimp and veggies for dinner tonight. :)

The shrimp is very versatile. I never forget about them but sometimes don't feel like paying for them. I may do shrimp in my salads next week instead of tuna to change things up.

Their sodium content is more related to processing. If it's frozen, they're often dipped into a saline solution first. Rinsing them well helps reduce this. The wild caught shrimp I buy at Kroger is very little sodium, not nearly enough to need to be careful with shrimp :)

I love shrimp, it's tasty, low-calorie and very versatile. Unfortunately, I don't buy it very often any more. Not since I read this article and watched documentary on this issue:

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/food/wp/2015/12/16/how-to-find-shrimp-thats-not-produced-by-slave-labor-in-thailand/

No one should have to be a slave just so I can get my shrimp on. :'( Whenever I can find and/or afford US or Gulf of Mexico shrimp, I buy those.

I love shrimp as a quick and tasty way to add protein with little fat. Scallops too.

I made a lovely batch of shrimp and clam gumbo last week. Makes a great low cal lunch for work. I don't do seafood often because it's a little pricy but nothing bad about it.
