Arrghh - Sick and worn out

I have been sick for about two weeks. It seems like a bad flu lead to an infection that spread quickly: sinus, ear, throat, lungs and eyes all spewing forth.

Now I am finally on antibiotics and slowly healing. And trying to figure out how to build back to fitness after two weeks of being in bed:( A half mile walk, with a short break in the middle sent me back to bed today, but I live on a boat and that is how far it is to walk the dock to shore and back.

I had been planning on adding resistance training last week, but I guess I should work on stamina now. I hope it doesn't take too long to recover from this set back.

  • Dude in the same boat, spent the last having things come out of me that no sane person should have to see, I am just building back up to my walking, best to just take it easier until your all well, I am having a knee operation next week so that will put me out for another few weeks, this just as I decided I needed to diet and get fit again after spending 15 years sitting at a desk. This getting and staying fit is a pain in the *kitten* but worth it in the end, I suppose.

    Good luck with your surgery!

I have been back on MFP for five weeks today, and spent two of them struggling to eat and move, rather than working towards a healthier me.

Well you probably got a good jump on weight loss anyways :p take it slow and recover, pushing too hard just turns you off trying anyways.
